Color Specifications
Print Solutions is a process color-only publication. Colors used in ad materials must be converted to CMYK before submission. Do not supply files as RGB, including imported graphics. This may cause a delay in the processing of your ad and incur additional production costs. We reserve the right to convert any specified PMS color to standard process color conversion without prior permission from advertisers or agencies.
Insert Specifications and Pricing
- Size: 8.375" x 11.125"
- Keep live matter at least .25" (1/4") from each edge.
- 0.125" (1/8") is trimmed from all four sides during binding.
- Final Trim Size is 8.125" x 10.875" after binding.
- Inserts are jogged to the head (top of the magazine) before trimming.
- Insert paper weight minimum is 80 lb. text; maximum weight is 100 lb. text.
- Quantity: 15,000 (Please call for exact quantity. Some issues have longer print runs.)
- Rates: 1-time $2,500; 3-time $2,300; 6-time $2,000; 12-time $1,900
(Inserts requiring extra production time will be assessed additional charges.)
Please tell us if you are planning an undersized or tipped on insert. These require extra production time and may affect the magazine's mail date. A proof of your insert and a sample of the stock it will be printed on must be submitted three weeks prior to the production deadline. Inserts with unusual construction or features may be subject to additional charges to cover extra production costs.
All insert boxes should be marked with the following:

- Accurate count of contents
- If your insert has printing on more than one side, please specify which is the front and which is the back.

Miscellaneous
Ads that exceed size specifications will be reduced as necessary and billed to the advertiser at cost. Advertisers or agencies requesting modifications to previously supplied ad materials assume all risks associated with modifications. For utmost accuracy and quality, we recommend that advertisers or agencies provide new material for all changes. NOTE: Film reduction or enlargement may affect color reproduction, particularly in screened areas.
The word "ADVERTISEMENT" will be placed on any advertising which, in the opinion of the publisher, resembles editorial matter.
The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertisement which is not in keeping with PSDA policy or publication standards. Employment ads are forbidden.
Print Solutions magazine pays the standard 15% commission to recognized advertising agencies under these rates. No cash discounts are allowed. Commission is not available on classified ads. Terms are due upon receipt.
Advertisers earn frequency discounts based on the number of ads placed within a 12-month period from the time of the first insertion. Classified advertising—display or lineage—cannot be applied to frequency discounts on regular display advertisements. To maintain production schedules, Print Solutions magazine reserves the right to reposition any advertisement that arrives past the closing date of four weeks prior to the date of publication.
Short Rates And Rebates
A contract may be canceled by the advertiser or publisher only with 45 days' written notice. Cancellations (as well as changes in insertion orders) will not be accepted after the closing date. Advertisers will be short-rated if, within a 12-month period from the start of a contract, they fail to use the number of insertions upon which billing was based. Similarly, advertisers will receive rebates if, within a 12-month period, there are additional insertions to qualify for a higher frequency discount.
